White River Family Practice Wins 2013 HIMSS Davies Award

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—September 17, 2013—eClinicalWorks, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, is pleased to congratulate White River Family Practice (WRFP) on being awarded a 2013 Ambulatory HIMSS Davies Award of Excellence for achieving exemplary implementation and utilization of an electronic health record (EHR) in an independent ambulatory care practice.

WRFP is a rural ambulatory care practice serving nearly 12,000 patients in Vermont and New Hampshire. Located in White River Junction, Vt., the practice has a team of six family physicians, three family nurse practitioners and an administrative support staff of 14. In 2009, WRFP began transitioning from paper to electronic health records, utilizing the eClinicalWorks system to help improve the quality of patient care, streamline workflow and generate a return on investment.

“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award,” said Dr. Mark Nunlist, family physician at WRFP. “Working closely with eClinicalWorks, WRFP successfully implemented an EHR that improves workflow and enables our physicians to deliver the best care possible. Our implementation has been a huge benefit for both our practice and our patients, and enables WRFP to significantly improve individual patient care as well as attend to registry management in populations with chronic diseases.”

“The tremendous success of the eClinicalWorks implementation at WRFP shows the real clinical, fiscal and practical value of our EHR,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “We believe that WRFP is yet another example of how healthcare technology helps physicians remain closely connected to patients and ultimately support their efforts to provide the best possible care.”

WRFP will be recognized at the next Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 23-27th, 2014, according to HIMSS officials.

The WRFP joins Coastal Medical, Open Door Family Medical Center, Urban Health Plan, Unity Health Care, White River Rural Health of Arkansas, New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene and New York Children’s Health Project as eClinicalWorks’ customers that have received the HIMSS Davies Award.
