athenahealth’s Jonathan Bush Named CEO of the Year by Mass Tech Leadership Council
WATERTOWN, Mass., Sept. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — athenahealth, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATHN), a leading provider of cloud-based services for electronic health records (EHR), practice management, and care coordination announced today that its Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Bush, has been named “CEO of the Year” by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC). The MassTLC Awards is the Commonwealth’s most prestigious technology awards program, dubbed the “Academy Awards” of the state’s Technology sector.
Bush co-founded athenahealth in 1997 with Todd Park and has served on its board of directors since its inception. In 2007, he launched a successful IPO, taking the company public. Under his direction, athenahealth has grown into a leader in the health care information technology industry. The company’s cloud-based services have been frequently recognized by health care technology research firms as being at or among the best in the industry.
