Cybersecurity, cyber identity and access security keynote presentations will kick off the 14th Annual Smart Card Alliance Government Conference, the leading event for ID security. The event will feature industry leaders speaking on PIV credentials, updates on NSTIC, developments in mobile identity programs, evolving NIST standards, discussions on FICAM roadmap and testing programs, and advancements in healthcare ID and biometric technologies.
Previously held in the fall, the Government Conference will be held June 9-10, 2015 with pre-conference workshops on June 8 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. For 2015, the Transglobal Security Collaboration Program (TSCP) will hold its Trusted Cyber Collaboration Workshop at the same location as the Government Conference. The event will begin on June 9 with keynote presentations and an executive roundtable discussion on emerging technologies addressing digital identities and experiences from implementations of government and commercial identity applications. Speakers, keynotes and panels include:

- Trevor Rudolf, Chief of the Cyber and National Security Unit Office of E-Government and IT, Office of Management and Budget, EOP, on “Federal Cybersecurity in a Constantly Changing Security Landscape”
- A roundtable panel discussion on “The Government Identity and Access Security Landscape” moderated by Randy Vanderhoof, Smart Card Alliance, and with invited panelists, Keith Ward, TSCP; Jim Sheire, GSA; and Philip Lam, NIST
Following the keynote presentations, attendees will be able to create their own customized conference experience through choosing among multiple identification, security technology, healthcare and policy track panels. Conference speakers, panels and roundtable discussions will cover the latest identity management and security trends affecting government and commercial security programs, including mobile credentials, healthcare, cybersecurity and international e-government programs. In addition to the main program, the Smart Card Alliance is holding a pre-conference workshop in conjunction with the conference on June 8, “Best Practices and Technology Trends for Strong Multifactor Authentication and Managing Identities of People and Internet Devices.”
This workshop will provide best practices and recommended approaches for authentication and identity management to address challenges associated with strong user and Internet device identification. The workshop also covers the benefits of strong multifactor authentication and smart card authentication approaches, binding of identity to identity tokens and related lifecycle management. The Smart Card Alliance is holding a full-day government security-oriented Certified Smart Card Industry Professional (CSCIP/G) training and exam preparation course on June 8, prior to the conference.
