Ascom and AirStrip Jointly Link Mobile Patient Monitor Alarms to Live Waveform Streaming Access
Ascom Wireless Solutions and AirStrip have announced a partnership to link their clinical mobile device applications to provide faster access to live ECG waveform streaming, speeding up decision-making and response time to critical patient events. When a nurse or other clinician receives a patient monitor alarm message on their Ascom Unite Axess smartphone app, they can easily navigate with a single button press to near real-time waveform streaming via the AirStrip ONE application.
With the explosion in the number of healthcare apps available, nurses and other clinicians face increasing challenges in navigating between these applications to view mission-critical information. This joint development eliminates the need to navigate from one app into another, delivering an improved user experience.
Tom McKearney, VP Global Product Line Unite Solutions, at Ascom states, “Ascom and AirStrip together have tightly linked their respective mobile applications to deliver mission-critical information faster to clinicians. This partnership enhances access to patient information on-the-go and is a great example of our joint commitment to improve clinical workflows.”
“The AirStrip ONE platform and application provide anytime, anywhere access to relevant clinical data for nurses and doctors who need to be mobile while making critical decisions on behalf of their patients,” adds AirStrip President Matt Patterson, MD. “The partnership between Ascom and AirStrip will further streamline the delivery of clinical information at the moment of care, enabling faster and more informed decision-making in ways that can improve patient outcomes.”
