Amazing Charts Scores 82 on EHR System Usability Scale (SUS)
Amazing Charts 7.0, a 2014 Certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for ambulatory practices, achieved an overall score of 82 on the System Usability Scale (SUS) Questionnaire verified by the Drummond Group’s EHR Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program.
The score not only places Amazing Charts in the top ten percent of all scores, it also outpaces major competitors such as Allscripts (65), Greenway PRIME suite (81.5), and Practice Fusion (69). Test reports for Amazing Charts and other EHRs can be found at http://www.drummondgroup.com/index.php/products/certified-products/2014-edition-ehr-products.
In the EHR Usability Test Report of Amazing Charts Version 7.0, it was reported that:
- 94% of users found Amazing Charts Version 7.0 to be easy to use.
- 89% of users felt confident using the new 2014 Certified version.
- Participants achieved 90 to 100 percent “success” rates for individual tasks with few exceptions.
- Task completion times were well within expected ranges and most tasks were completed in under a minute.
“Our Usability score of 82 demonstrates that we are keeping our system very simple to use even as we add more requirements for Meaningful Use Stage 2,” said John Squire, president and COO of Amazing Charts. “We believe these ratings provide an important guide to those who are looking to adopt their first EHR, or are tired of an EHR with poor usability.”
