Amazing Charts Ranked #1 for “Ease of Use” by Physicians

Amazing Charts, a 2014 Certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for outpatient practices, was the top-rated EHR solution in the category of “ease of use” in the 2014 Medscape EHR Report published on July 15. Amazing Charts surpassed major competitors, including athenahealth, eClinicalworks, Epic, Greenway and Practice Fusion.

In the report, Medscape notes that “ease of use” is the most important category for physicians. “Ease of use” was measured by several factors: “easy to learn,” “ease of data entry,” “ease of EHR implementation,” “reliability,” and “overall ease of use.” Medscape reports that for many physicians, “ease of use” determines their overall perception and experience with the EHR, affecting patient interactions and time spent documenting.

“It is gratifying to see Amazing Charts get national recognition for the high level of usability that many of us have known about for a while,” said Dr. Galen Chock, a pediatrician and Amazing Charts user from Honolulu, Hawaii. “I always tell my colleagues how I’m able to easily document a concise note that is both accurate and clinically relevant with Amazing Charts.”

“Medscape’s biennial EHR survey is one of the most important reports for physicians who want to find a clinical documentation system they will love to use every day,” said John Squire, president and COO of Amazing Charts. “Amazing Charts gets highly rated for usability for one simple reason: our focus on eliminating unnecessary clicks and pull-down menus by consulting with clinicians who guide our screen designs to fit their existing workflow patterns.”
