Vitera Healthcare Solutions Hosts Webinar Preparing Physicians for PCMH Transformation
Tampa, Florida – Sept. 20, 2013 – Vitera Healthcare Solutions, the nation’s premier provider of ambulatory electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software and services, announced today a webinar to help physician practices engage, transform and sustain efforts toward becoming a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and take advantage of private and public incentives.
Physicians, practice administrators, billing managers and all office-based staff members can attend “The Patient-Centered Medical Home: Preparing for the PCMH transformation” on Sept. 25, 2013, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET, by registering at www.viterahealthcare.com/webinarsPCMH.
“The Patient-Centered Medical Home model is moving primary care into a setting that cultivates partnership between the patient and primary provider, in cooperation with specialists and support from the community,” said Matthew J. Hawkins, CEO of Vitera Healthcare Solutions. “Early adoption of processes that meet PCMH requirements has many benefits — including better care delivery for patients, increased efficiency and new revenue streams for practices. This webinar will help guide physicians through the PCMH journey.”
Vitera recently received notice from the National Committee on Quality Assurance that Vitera Intergy v9.00 has been approved for prevalidation as a PCMH EHR, which means that Vitera customers can save time and avoid a significant portion of the administrative burden associated with documenting PCMH requirements. Vitera is one of only three EHRs to achieve this designation.
The complimentary webinar will be presented by Cindy Dunn, RN, FACMPE, a consultant for the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Health Care Consulting Group with more than 35 years of healthcare experience.
According to Dunn, the PCMH has become a major focus of healthcare reform. “Thousands of physicians are already participating in medical home pilot projects all across the country,” Dunn said.
“In the ambulatory market, not many EHRs are dynamic enough to truly position organizations for success with PCMH,” says Michael Stanzione, IT administrator with Integrated Medicine Alliance, P.A. “It takes a flexible, customizable infrastructure like that available through Vitera Intergy to address risk stratification, population management and effective patient engagement.”
Hawkins added, “Now is the time for physician practices and community health centers to learn more about the benefits — as well as the technology — that can help them meet medical home certification requirements.”
