Kareo, the leading provider of cloud-based medical office software for small medical practices, today announced that Brett Caine has been appointed to the Kareo board of directors. Caine will leverage his 22 years of executive experience in the technology industry to provide consultative guidance around Kareo’s market and product strategy, further enhancing Kareo’s role as the independent physicians’ trusted partner.

Caine, Kareo’s second independent board member, comes with a strong background in scaling Software as a Service (SaaS) and e-commerce online businesses, and is one of the high-tech industry’s leading advocates for transforming business by delivering simpler, better ways to connect and collaborate online. Caine’s industry knowledge, customer-centric focus and innovative business strategies will be a valuable asset to Kareo as the company continues to experience significant, sustained growth in demand for its products and services.

Caine previously served as president of Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for growing the company’s SaaS business to record revenues and profits. While at Citrix Online, Caine grew revenues from $40 million in 2004 to $600 million. Prior to joining Citrix Online, Caine held executive positions with several leading software companies including Openwave Systems, Software.com and Clarify, Inc.
