Conifer Health Solutions, the nation’s leading provider of technology-enabled healthcare performance improvement services, has again secured the top spot in the category of Revenue Cycle Management Outsourcing for “Hospitals Over 200 Beds” in the 2014 Black Book user survey. Conifer ranked first ahead of 130 other RCM service providers.

The 2014 Black Book RCM user survey, which is conducted annually by Black Book Market Research LLC, polled more than 2,250 hospital executives at 445 hospitals across the country. The survey confirmed that larger, better-integrated RCM outsourcing solution providers like Conifer are meeting the demand by hospitals for fully integrated, end-to-end solutions. The survey also revealed that 83% of hospitals over 200 beds that outsourced all or most of their RCM operations achieved average revenue increases of 5.3%.

Conifer achieved a better than 90% satisfaction rating from Community, Small & Rural Hospitals as well as Large Hospital Systems & Proprietary Chains, IDNs (Integrated Delivery Networks) and ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations). Among the reasons for its top-ranked performance, respondents, for the second year in a row, cited Conifer’s expertise in accountable care organization (ACO) development and payment reform preparations; analytics and business decision support; seamless electronic health record integration, and demonstrated savings and return on investment. “We are gratified at the trust that our clients have placed in our ability to help them leverage new payment opportunities while boosting financial performance,” Michaels added.
