ZirMed, the premier cloud-based enterprise financial and clinical performance solution for healthcare, announced today that it was honored by Louisville Central Community Centers, Inc. (LCCC), an organization that supports low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families in the local area, with the 2014 Corporate Community Service Award. The Award, presented at LCCC’s Annual Meeting on May 14th, recognizes ZirMed’s exemplary employee volunteer services to support LCCC’s child development and youth services program.

ZirMed selected LCCC as its 2014 local non-profit partner based on its mission of advancing self-reliance by increasing competence and confidence among individuals and families in the Louisville community. The employee-driven ZirMed community partnership program seeks to promote a holistic view of healthcare, encompassing the physical, social and mental well-being of the community. LCCC offers a variety of programs and services related to early childhood education, youth development, employment, home ownership and civic engagements. LCCC and its mission align perfectly with the goals of ZirMed’s partnership program, and throughout 2014, ZirMed employees volunteered and contributed to successful programs and events for the LCCC community.

ZirMed employees volunteered in various ways, such as by leading a reading and mentoring program and devoting two hours every week to meet with children at LCCC. ZirMed employees also coordinated various drives on behalf of the LCCC, collecting over 200 toys and books, providing 184 backpacks filled with school supplies for the academic year and delivering 116 meals during the holiday season. Also of note, ZirMed’s technology team worked to update and improve the organization’s website.

For its 2015 community program, ZirMed has partnered with another local Louisville organization, Family & Children’s Place, which works to protect and help heal Kentuckiana children, families and communities from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Over the course of this year, participating employees will collaborate with Family & Children’s Place through fundraising, volunteering and other outreach efforts, including a mini-marathon, golf scramble and other themed events.
