The New York eHealth Collaborative Appoints Paul Francis and Michael Golden to Board of Directors

NEW YORK, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) announced today the appointment of Paul Francis and Michael Golden to the NYeC Board of Directors.

Paul Francis is currently a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Guarini Center on Environmental and Land Use Law. Previously, he was the Director of Agency Redesign and Efficiency and the Vice-Chair of the Spending and Government Efficiency Commission under Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York. He served as the Policy Director in Governor Cuomo’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign and has also worked with prior administrations. Before entering politics and government, Mr. Francis spent 25 years in the private sector holding executive positions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Merrill Lynch, and Priceline.com. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Health Foundation and the Board of Trustees of NYU Law School. Mr. Francis received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale College and a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law.

Michael Golden is the Vice Chairman of the New York Times Company, a position he has held since 1997. From 2009 to January 2012, Mr. Golden served as President and Chief Operating Officer of The New York Times Company Regional Media Group. Currently, he is also the Chairman of the Board of the Directors for the International Center for Journalists and serves on the board of directors for the Associated Press, the Newspapers Association of America and Graham Windham. Mr. Golden graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree from Lehigh University, a Master’s degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and an M.B.A. from Emory University.
