KLAS Report Measures the Impact of and Potential Growth Areas in the Quality-management Segment
OREM, UT – October 2, 2013 – When it comes to quality management, healthcare providers want much more from their vendors than just regulatory reporting functionality. According to a new KLAS report entitled Quality Management 2013: The Ripple Effect, providers look to quality-management solutions to help them facilitate operational and financial improvements and to help drive better outcomes.
KLAS found that the providers surveyed tended to report different levels of impact in terms of how their vendors helped them focus on quality and improvement, as shown in the following chart.
“Quality management goes well beyond mandatory reporting to CMS and is a key part of the journey toward more accountable and sustainable outcomes,”said Joe Van De Graaff, report author and research director at KLAS. ” The measurement of quality will continue going forward, and healthcare providers need great vendor partners to help them meet their goals.”
