Four New Speakers Announced for the ACCA Summit in Orlando

Central Logic is pleased to announce a new group of speakers who will share their healthcare expertise at the 9th annual Advancing Care Coordination and Analytics (ACCA) Summit, September 14th – 16th, at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes in Orlando, Fla.

Industry influencers scheduled to attend and present at the ACCA Summit include Scott Kashman, Lee Memorial chief administrative officer; Teresa Rincon, eICU Operations at UMass Memorial Medical Center; Melissa Harte, Banner Health senior director of Transfer Services; and Grace Plackis, R.N., M.S.N, transfer center director of New York Presbyterian Hospital. For a full list of previously-announced speakers and topics, visit ACCASummit.com.

“Scott, Teresa, Melissa and Grace are thought leaders as diverse as the subject matter that will be covered at the Summit,” said Darin Vercillo, MD, Central Logic co-founder and CMO. “Each of these esteemed professionals brings a common goal – to improve the overall patient experience – while offering unique industry perspective. While we are broadening the Summit’s focus, patient flow remains the foundation of the Summit and that is clearly reflected in the latest lineup of speakers,” Vercillo added.

Central Logic launched the Summit in 2007 as a venue to bring health leaders together to share knowledge, network, and gather content, tools, and contacts necessary to immediately enhance operations and patient throughput within health system.

As the healthcare industry evolves, so too does the Summit. This year, the Summit will explore beyond Patient Flow, attendees will develop a better understanding of the importance of patient-centric care and data analytics to provide visibility across the continuum of care.

Other topics will include population health driving better care through community wellness programs, care coordination best practices, addressing readmission rates through patient and family engagement, reducing length of stay by utilizing variance reporting, benchmarking and tracking, and addressing how real-time data can assist in making better decisions.

“The Summit is uniquely positioned to bring health leaders together to address the whole continuum of patient care,” said Vercillo. “We are excited to usher in a new era in the event’s history and expect our talented roster of speakers to drive key industry conversations forward.”

In addition to the broadened focus, this year Central Logic adds a new component to the Summit — the Executive Forum — specifically for hospital executives and senior leaders. The Forum will be held September 13 and 14 and will be an opportunity for hospital executives to convene for targeted education and collaboration with peers nationwide. Ginger Graham, former president and CEO of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, and Marc Probst, Chief Information Officer and Vice President at Intermountain Healthcare, will deliver keynote speeches during this special pre-summit event.

Space is limited for both of these events. For more information on the ACCA Summit and the Executive Forum visit ACCASummit.com.
