DocuTAP Names Bryan Koch as Executive Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management Strategy

DocuTAP, the leading provider of integrated electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management technology for urgent care, has named Bryan Koch as executive vice president of revenue cycle management (RCM) strategy. In this position, Koch will be responsible for overseeing RCM strategic direction and growth at DocuTAP, including departmental infrastructure, reporting and service development, along with advising RCM-specific sales. He will work with DocuTAP executive management to lead revenue cycle services for clinics who use the organization’s EMR and practice management software.

Prior to joining DocuTAP, Koch served as vice president of revenue cycle services at Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., an EMR and revenue cycle company based in Carrollton, Georgia. During his four-year tenure there, Koch grew revenue cycle services from the ground up to $20 million in revenue and over 1,000 providers served. Working at DocuTAP, which has one specific workflow focus, will allow him to streamline development of reimbursement processes, reporting tools and new training opportunities. Previous to his employment at Greenway, Koch was vice president of strategic services for Navicure, Inc. and chief operating officer for Medac, Inc.

“I can’t be more excited for Bryan, for DocuTAP and especially for DocuTAP clients about our latest addition,” said Eric McDonald, CEO and founder of DocuTAP. “We spent the better part of six months searching the entire nation to find the most talented individual that would best fit our team, and we found him. Having an accomplished leader like Bryan join our team says a lot about the momentum and direction that DocuTAP is heading.”

“I like coming back to a smaller company, which is more nimble and has an amazing corporate culture,” Koch said of his decision to join DocuTAP. “Since my arrival, I haven’t met one person at DocuTAP that isn’t smiling. I feel privileged to be welcomed into DocuTAP and feel the opportunity here is tremendous. I look forward to making the company a leader in the urgent care industry for revenue management.”

With the addition of Koch to the DocuTAP team, the company is furthering its commitment to help clients navigate the complex and evolving regulations on healthcare, including Meaningful Use, the transition to ICD-10, and effects from the Affordable Care Act. DocuTAP’s dedicated billing team is fully immersed in workflow and billing intricacies within the urgent care space and is able to assist its clients in realizing a healthy revenue stream within their clinics.
