Central Logic Hires Senior Data Scientist to Drive Predictive Analytics, Real-Time Access and Results

Building on its commitment to help health systems better access and analyze data intelligence in real time, Central Logic, the healthcare industry’s leading provider of innovative transfer center and on-call scheduling technology solutions, has hired James Moore as its Senior Data Scientist.

An expert in predictive modeling, machine learning, and forecasting, Moore has received multiple awards for his work including a data mining project that used logistic regression to find Medicare billing errors and an experimental design project for improving the rate of mammography in Idaho Medicare beneficiaries using logistic regression.

“Central Logic is focused on providing exceptional access to real-time data and having James on board will drive this development forward, helping us deliver improved decision making solutions for our clients,” said Greg Wiggins, Central Logic Chief Technology Officer. “His deep experience in predictive analytics and data patterns will be valuable assets as we amp up our ability to create positive change in the behavior and outcomes of health systems.”

Moore brings nearly 25 years of experience in statistical research, modeling and analytics, most recently as Director of Service Analytics with Progrexion Marketing in North Salt Lake, UT. Previous management and analytical positions include with companies including Progressive Leasing, Verisk Health, Intermountain Healthcare, and Western Governor University.

“Leveraging real-time data is increasingly critical to address major health industry challenges such as identifying high-risk patients, reducing length of stay, and improving a system’s overall efficiency,” said Jennifer Holmes, Central Logic CEO. “With the addition of James to our team, we strengthen our strategy to provide software solutions that integrate data in a predictive manner for vital interoperability. Accessing accurate healthcare data predictively and in real time creates more efficient hospitals and saves patient lives.”

Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from Weber State University and a Master of Science degree in Statistics from Brigham Young University, doing his thesis work on multivariate statistical process control methods.
