The award recognizes companies that have made outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. The winners from each region will be recognized at an awards luncheon to be held today at the Renaissance Waterfront Hotel in Boston.

Since January 1, 2012, athenahealth has added over 400 jobs and has expanded its facilities by over 57,000 square feet. It also invested $168 million in its acquisition of the “Arsenal on the Charles” campus, where its headquarters have been located since 2005. It expects to make a projected $200 million additional investment over the next ten years. The company has announced plans to add 1,900 more jobs by 2022.
