Aprima Medical Software, Inc. announced today that the company has joined CommonWell Health Alliance as a Contributing Member. CommonWell Health Alliance is a collaborative effort focused on achieving interoperability to enable a seamless exchange of electronic health information.
CommonWell, a non-profit trade association, is dedicated to the vision that health data should be available regardless of where care occurs. Together, the members of the Alliance are using their diverse, collective experience across the care continuum to break down the barriers that have stood in the way of efficient data exchange. For example, the Alliance helps providers deliver a history of recent patient care encounters and, with appropriate authorization, access patient data across multiple providers and episodes of care.
Aprima brings significant experience and strengths to the Alliance. As one of the top five vendors physicians are switching to for their electronic health record (EHR) solution, Aprima provides EHR, Practice Management (PM) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions to physician practices nationwide in an easy to use and cost effective way.
“We’re pleased to join CommonWell Health Alliance’s efforts to enable providers to seamlessly and more securely share patient information,” said Aprima president and CEO Michael Nissenbaum. “Increasingly, physicians want to leverage information technology to more easily and cost-effectively treat their patients and manage their practice. Aprima is dedicated to easing the transition to this environment for healthcare providers.”
